For more than 20 years, as an advocate in mediations and as a Mediator, Mick has acquired an intuitive feel for how commercial and estate matters can be resolved without the necessity of extended litigation.
Mick holds national accreditation as a mediator. To obtain accreditation, Mick undertook a certificate course from Bond University to train prospective mediators in its mediation Certificate Courses, and, then, a two day testing program approved by the National Alternative Dispute Resolution Advisory Council.
He is a member of the panel of mediators appointed by the Office of Franchise Mediation Adviser. He is a member of the Land Court of Queensland Alternative Dispute Resolution Panel.
His accreditation by the Bar Association of Queensland requires him to undergo continuing professional development programs. He also is engaged by Bond University to act as a Mediator coach in its mediation Certificate Courses and as an Assessor in its Assessment Courses. He is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Bar Association of Queensland. He is a member of the Dispute Resolution Centre of Bond University.
Mick's Chambers are ably suited to his practice as a Mediator. The large Boardroom and breakout rooms enable Mediations to be held in Southport, without the necessity of travelling to Brisbane.
